Together We Soar Fundraising Campaign

Together We Soar, the SEM PTSA's fall fundraising campaign, kicked off on October 1 and runs through the end of the month.

 

The PTSA runs on what families give. There are no district funds behind what we do. Every teacher appreciation lunch, every event, every bit of support we put behind SEM students comes from this community choosing to chip in. Together We Soar is how we fund the year in one focused push.

 

Together We Soar is open to families and to businesses, and every level comes with SEM swag to say thank you.

The October PTSA Meeting is on Tuesday, October 20th - 6:30pm

Our October meeting is Tuesday night in Room 211, the teacher’s lounge, and every SEM family is welcome. You don’t need to be a member to come, and you don’t need to volunteer for anything by showing up. Join us in person or on Zoom.

Haunted Hallways Is Thursday, October 22

Our Halloween event is less than two weeks out, and we need help gathering materials before we can build anything. There are more than 30 items on the list.

 

The good news is that this is the easiest kind of volunteering there is. Most items have an Amazon link right in the sign-up, so claiming one takes a couple of clicks and you never have to leave the house. The list runs from the ordinary to the wonderfully strange: paint, construction paper, black trash bags, candy, fake blood, flickering LED lights, a clown wig, a Ouija board, and at least one Annabelle doll.

 

Every item claimed is one fewer thing a volunteer buys out of pocket the night before. Even one helps.

Sophomore Parents: October Is Your Month for the Teacher's Lounge

Our Stock the Lounge rotation is with sophomore families this month, and you're already about halfway there. Thank you to everyone who has claimed something so far. Claiming an item is the whole ask. Send it to school with your student, or ship it straight to the front office and skip the trip entirely.

Remaining Committe Chair Help Needed

We Need a Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator is the person who knows what help is needed and who said they'd help. You'd build the sign-ups, send the reminders, and connect people who want to pitch in with the events that need them. You don't run the events yourself. You're the switchboard.

 

We're also looking for people help out with 2029 and 2030 Parent Teams, Fundraising, SEM Socials, Hope Squad, School Wish List, and Teacher Appreciation.
